The Legal Mocktail utilizes a series of strategically designed profiles, which form the core of the program. Each profile contains basic information about the person’s job, interests and/or family and is written to ensure that it has something in common with a number of other profiles.
The goal of the Legal Mocktail is for attendees to find the people with whom they have things in common and then forge and further relationships with those people during the course of the event. This supports all the skills involved in networking: preparing for the event, entering and exiting conversations with many people, asking good questions, listening and building in follow ups, all while handling business cards, handshakes, plates and glasses.
A perfect way to practice networking in a safe environment, this exercise may be used to reinforce training, identify future professional development and coaching needs, practice a critical skill, forge and further relationships with each other and client, and build a sense of team and colleagiality.
